At Warley Road, pupils in Year 3 and Year 4 access swimming as part of the curriculum in our fantastic swimming pool.
During Spring and Summer terms, Reception children are given short taster sessions and Year 6 access swimming as a post SAT reward.
During Summer term of each academic year, our pupils are assessed in line with the National Curriculum based on their ability to swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres, using a range of strokes effectively; and their ability to perform safe self-rescue in different water based situations.
